OWS (Odd Weapon Scrinz)

The OWS is a fun event of a light hearted nature. The theme of the OWS is that a single weapon will be named as the feature weapon. So for example should the Knife be the featured weapon, only the knife can be used during the event.

The ribbons for the OWS are "hot" citations. The winner of the knife only scrimmage (the player with the highest XP) holds this ribbon until the next event. Then they defend their right to keep it. Should another player win the event, the previous holder will remove it and the new champion will have exclusive right to display it.

Pugna Cultellus

Bazooka/Panzer

Flame Thrower

Grenade Launcher

Machine Gun

This is an opportunity for each of us to get a ribbon to really take some pride in. I ask that we all set politics aside and support the soldiers that are far from home and those they love. EVE has authorized this citation for any that write a letter to a soldier. If you were ever in the service you know how much a letter from "home" can mean. If you have not then let me tell you, even such things as a newspaper from your home town is a really big deal. A letter from someone back in the world is a huge moral booster and believe it or not, provides comfort and courage when facing advertises that I do not have the talent to describe effectively. Let us not forget that the letter you write may be the last kind words the soldier ever reads.

So I ask that you take ten minutes out of your day and send a soldier a letter. Keep the subject matter light and your politics to yourself. Just tell them that they are on our minds and we want them to come home. Let them know that they matter.

You can find good information on how to do this below.
